Marching bands and spirit squads from TCU and Louisiana Tech will parade from each end of 5th Avenue to kick off the 2011 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl in downtown San Diego. There is no charge for this event. Tuesday, December 20 Landmark Aviation Team Luncheon - Aboard the USS Midway - 11 a.m.
The Landmark Aviation Team Luncheon gives college football fans the opportunity to dine with the players and coaches aboard the historic USS Midway on San Diego Bay. The Battle of the University Bands will take place on the flight deck at 11 a.m. followed by the luncheon in the hangar bay at noon. Wear purple and come help SuperFrog, the band and cheerleaders show what school spirit really sounds like. Coach Patterson will fire up Frog Fans at this early evening pep rally (Time TBD). A cash bar will be available. After the pep rally, hit the Gaslamp Quarter or the Seaport Village for some of San Diego's finest fare. There is no charge for this event.
