The conference fee of $1,600 ($800 for students, medical residents, or members of the clergy/religious) includes lecture notes, a welcome reception on Sunday, March 7, 2010, lunches, dinners, and refreshments during the conference. A deposit equal to half the registration fee is due with your reservation application. Full payment is required 90 days prior to the first day of the conference (Saturday, December 12, 2009). There will be a $200 fee for spouses/guests attending evening conference dinners on March 12-13, 2010.

Location This program will be held at the Pontifical University of Santa Croce. Lunches and dinners on Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13 will be held at local Roman restaurants.
CME Credits
AMA PRA Category 1 Credit will be provided for this conference.
In addition, we will host a 1-hr lecture in medical ethics on each day of the week preceding the conference (March 8-11). CME credits will be available for these lectures.

City Tours
Scavi Tour The Vatican Excavations Office offers private tours of the excavations below St. Peter’s Basilica, where St. Peter’s tomb is found. Only 200 visitors are allowed to visit the necropolis daily in groups of approximately 12 persons. Due to high demand, reservations must be made far in advance by the Excavations Office. Reservations are on a first-come, first serve basis and are subject to availability.

Walking Tours For a complete description of each walking tour please click here. You may only select one tour to participate in. The following tours are available:
St. Peter’s Basilica Cost is $10 per person, inclusive of tour guide, tips, and personal headsets. Maximum participants are 40 guests per tour. Monday, March 8, 2010 at 10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith The Vatican is approximately a 30-minute walk from the hotels. You may also take a taxi or a 10-minute bus ride to the Vatican. Cost is free. Maximum Participants are 20 guests per tour. Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Tour of S. Andrea al Quirinale and S. Carlino alle Quattro Fontane The sites are approximately a 20-30 -minute walk away from the hotels. Alternatively, you may arrange to take a taxi and meet the group at the churches. Cost is free; however, you will be responsible for paying any nominal entrance fees to religious or historical sites. Maximum participants are 20 guests per tour. Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Tour of Famous Dominican Sites The modes of transportation on this tour include walking and public buses. The tour is free; however you will be responsible for paying for your own public bus tickets and for any nominal fees to excavation and religious sites. Maximum participants are 20 guests per tour. Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Tour of Famous Jesuit Sites This tour will involve approximately a 20-minute walk on city streets. Cost is free; however you will be responsible for paying any nominal entrance fees. Maximum participants are 20 guests per tour. Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Pre- or Post-Extension Tours Add-on packages are available should you wish to supplement your Roman vacation with a stay in Florence and/or Venice. These packages include round-trip train travel from Rome to Florence or Venice, airport transfers, two nights’ accommodation in a centrally-located 3-star hotel, and a local professional English-speaking guide for a guided walking tour. Cancellation
Upon receipt of written request of cancellation, the following fees will apply: Cancellations received by December 12, 2009: amount of deposit; between December 12, 2009 and January 15, 2010: 50% of entire cost of the trip; after January 15, 2010: Non-refundable.
Passports
If you have not already applied for your passport or other travel documents, please do so immediately to ensure ample time for processing. Every participant must be in possession of the appropriate documentation prior to departure. Regrettably, if a participant is unable to obtain a passport or any applicable visa, the standard cancellation policy will apply.
Canadians and other non-U.S. citizens should contact the embassy or consulate of their destination countries as soon as possible for specific entry requirements.
Please note: Non-U.S. citizens may require re-entry documentation to enter the United States after travel abroad.
